A Little Insight About Me…
It has been said numerous times that “in art, everything has been done before, you just have to put your own unique spin on it that makes it stand out above the others.” Growing up, I was constantly putting my stamp on numerous art pieces while at the same time being inspired and motivated by other art whether it was a painting, drawing, books, films, shows, music, or even a dance routine. Whatever it was, it sparked creativity and passion in me to tell a story that will evoke emotions and motivate others in their own way.
I always had a love and passion for all types of art. No matter what I was doing and where I was in my life you would always find me being creative whether I was drawing, creating a motion graphic video, or even coming up with a story to create visual artwork to go with it.
With the combination of my education and my passion for telling a story, I was given the opportunity to intern at a small clothing company that turned to make masks during the pandemic. As the only graphic designer of the team, everything art-related was given to me to complete. I created a brand new logo for the company to use, a business booklet showcasing what the business can provide for others, a video ad, and even other images to use for social media. Even though it was a lot to take on, I learned so much during this experience including what I am capable of when I am pushed out of my comfort zone.
Outside of my education and work experience, I love to watch films and shows (animated and live-action), especially learning everything and anything about how they were created. This could be whether it’s through the visual and special effects, animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, creating the script, creating the sounds and music, and editing it all together to get a finished piece for the world to see. Learning about it all has allowed me to improve my storytelling and art skills as well as adding to my passion for the industry. While I am grateful for everything I have done so far, my goal is to one day work for a film company on a show or film to create art for a scene that will one day inspire people around the world. I am excited to see where I go and what art I create next.
When I’m not watching films and shows or learning about the entertainment industry, I can usually be found reading a book. Any chance and free time I can get I will read a book, whether it is a mystery, crime fiction, romance, and even fantasy. I love being able to escape into different realities and feel like I am living a thousand different lives. Reading allows me to truly relax and let my imagination to run free, and open my mind to these worlds the authors create, even to some that I never would’ve thought about.
